Beawi'su sholka
Zu ka saos no'feira
No'hada saz Teirys
N zol shikan
Yau zol shaukan
Simi nga sa'zol ara

Beawi'su sholka
Ngia nga kashidum
Riro nga sa'zu rokh
Kashia lo
Zol shyuan no'feira
Simi nga sa'zol ara

Take this milk
Give it to the spirits
Servants of Nature
Who gives birth to us
And kills us
Each in our time

Take this milk
Put it in the offering bowl
Yet in its place
Offer yourself
We become spirits
Each in our time
This is not intended to be "deep", "profound", "meaningful" or anything else commonly associated with poetry. It's just a way to show off one of the languages in my stories and explain some of the beliefs of the people in my stories without just doing that. The language is Old Kiish, which should be spelled "Kaiish", but I came up with the name years before I came up with a set system of sound-shorthand (I don't know what it's called, but basically which letter/symbol in english represents which sound.) I also like the look of "Kiish" better. So NEH!
