Remember What You Saw

Color is free
You see what is yours
Faded memories may tease the seeking mind
But loyally sit and wait in their cobwebb'd corners
Out of the way
You may have to dig through a lot
Of old places and broken hearts
You may be distracted
By lost names and forgotten faces
But you'll find what you're looking for

Wipe off the dust and
Put the spiders on a windowsill
(you know it's what you ought; they're
not so bad really)
They are so thin and fragile
And by the holes you guess
Your spiders were drawn by the abundance of moths
So handle with care
Pick them up gently, don't
Look at them directly
Your stare is enough to make them crumble
