Literature Text

When I see the lightning streak across the sky
It leaves a ghost upon my eye
So everywhere I look
I see the purple roots
Creeping through the clouds

I wonder, where do lightning flowers bloom?
These sparks of life
Planted in the darkest corners of the sky

When I see the daily miracles around
I hold them in me safe and sound
So every time I cry
I shed some tears of joy
Cleanly like the rain

I wonder, where do lightning flowers bloom?
These sparks of life
Planted in the darkest corners of the sky
Like thunder, in my soul there rings a sound
That sings in me
Echos in my heart like electricity
These lightning flowers
Blooming by the hardest roads of my life
I imagine this being a cheesy Pop song in my head, along the lines of Hilary Duff (which I used to listen to as a kid).
